This quick quiz has only four questions, and the questions are all about each other. Or the answers are all about each other. Or both. I’m not quite sure.

Good luck!

1. Which is the first question to which “A” is the correct answer?
(a) 2     (b) 3     (c) 4

2. Which answer is correct the most times?
(a) C     (b) B     (c) A

3. What is the correct answer to question 1?
(a) B     (b) A     (c) C

4. Which answer is correct the fewest times?
(a) A     (b) C     (c) B

HERE are the answers.

  1. I got it! :D

  2. I’m pretty sure (1)c (2)a (3)c (4)c also works, but I could be wrong.

  3. Yowza this one made me think! Took me a while to get it…

Alice, your answer can’t work because question 1 asks “Which is the first question to which “A” is the correct answer?” In your solution you selected (c)4, indicating that the fourth question is the FIRST question for which the correct answer is “A”. But you then answer question number two as “A”, which contradicts your first answer.

  4. Finally, Sandy. I got an answer to the Brain Game! Usually, I come away from the Brain Game feeling a little less smart.

  5. So is A = (a) ?

  6. That was great!

  7. That was fun. I love decision trees!

  8. Woo hoo! Got it!

Took a little bit – but when I finally got it – it seemed so obvious! :)

  9. I can’t figure it out :( Will someone actually talk out how they got the correct answer?

P.S. When people comment “Yay, I got it!” without any discussion of their work, I tend to think they didn’t… :/

  10. ^ Yay, I got it!

  11. @Jacqui – For me, it was mostly trial and error, so it’s hard to discuss a strategy.
You pick an answer for the first question, run through and see if it works. I think I actually saw at number two that b) was B, so it made sense that B would be (wow) the most common answer, and I went from there.

  12. Jacqui–I first read all of the questions and didn’t pay attention to the answers.

I saw that question 1 and question 3 were dependent on each other, so I chose the answers that made them work togehter.

From there, I tackled question 2; picking ‘b’ for q. 2 reinforced that ‘b’ was the right answer for q.2, so I went with it. Then the question 4 was a no brainer.

  13. I guess I just mostly chime in with “Got it!” because I don’t want to bore everyone else who got it with my explanation of how I did it. That and, like Eileen said, it’s difficult to say how when it is so much trial and error. I too looked at 1 & 3 and then 2 & 4 going together and just tried a, b, & c until it worked — more or less.
