I was experimenting with a Word Ladder recently – where one letter is changed per row, while the others stay in the same order that they were – to run from the word FLOSS to the word BRUSH. I was able to do it in six steps. Can you do better?

Chris, yours doesn’t work because the step from “glass” to “brass” changes two letters at once.
