It’s time for All in the Family! The Bunkers (Archie & Edith) and the Stivics (Mike & Gloria) went out to a little Italian restaurant in Queens to enjoy some pasta. The four dishes ordered were cheese ravioli, chicken parmesan, macaroni & cheese, and spaghetti & meatballs. The drinks were beer, soda pop, water, and wine. Based on the following five clues, can you figure out which person enjoyed which dish and which drink?
Edith did not drink an alcoholic beverage.
The wine drinker enjoyed a meatless pasta dish.
Gloria enjoyed the mac & cheese.
The water drinker had the cheese ravioli.
Mike said he wished he had ordered the spaghetti to go with his pop.
HERE are the answers.
Archie - spagetti and beer
Edith - ravioli and water
Mike - chicken and soda
Gloria - mac and cheese and wine

Was I the only one who concluded right off the bat (before reading any clues) that Archie would drink beer?

Paul -
I started with that line of thinking, and continued on with what each character would most likely have. I was stunned to see the clues confirm all my theories!

It’s a trick question! Archie would Never go out for foreign food - especially with Meathead.

I *love* these puzzles! Did them way back in grade school (so of course I reverted to the grid design…which worked!)

Got it! With pen & paper…
(I would’ve had a meatless dish with wine myself!)

Yes! Process of elimination triumphs once again! I just drew up two tables comparing who had what and figured it out.
