I’m not sure what the advantage to owning a guitar created out of a gun is (perhaps people will show more respect the next time you launch into your famous set of ABBA covers?), but the “Escopetarras” are apparently a big hit in Colombia. The brainchild of Cesar Lopez, the gun/guitar idea came to him while standing outside a bombed Colombian social club. And while rumors persist that rockers like Paul McCartney might publicly sling them in a cry against violence, we’re guessing they’re going to have a hard time checking the things through customs.
