My wife Kara is from Michigan, but I’m a transplanted Georgia boy. And yes, sometimes, “I wish I was in Dixie.” Hooray.
If you’re wondering what in tarnation I’m talking about, then wonder no more, cousin. It’s a Dixie Quiz. Fifteen questions about people, places, and things named Dixie. And each question has only two possible answers instead of the usual four, so it’s suitable for border-state folks and ill-tempered Yankees as well. Yes sir, and I’m not just whistling… er… I’m not blowing smoke. Good luck!
Take the Quiz: Dixie!
The link took me to a college quiz… not borders.

Transplanted Georgia Dude,
I live in Dixie, and we recently named our dog Dixie. True GA people, we are.

Fixed, TOB. The top link (with the graphic) worked but the bottom one did not. Sorry about that!

I got 80%, but the ones I missed had nothing to do with the south.

Nice, Kudzu. We once had a cat named Savannah, who had kittens we named Vidalia and Valdosta.

13/15! I apparently know (or am awfully good at guessing) a lot more about the South than I thought.

73%! Not bad for a lifelong Yankee. Coincidentally, there’s Dixie Highway here in Chicago’s south suburbs.

I’m from “The Heart of Dixie” and I only missed the ones about non-Southern things (like the Austin Powers question). I love my homeland.
