0705.jpgGot 2-4 minutes? We need a small army of volunteers to participate in an online survey for the magazine, of the magazine. Here’s who qualifies:

1) People who have read the Election Issue (It doesn’t matter whether you get a subscription or picked up a copy at your local newsstand/Borders/Walmart/Whole Foods/etc.)

2) People who can complete the survey between now and Sunday.

If you’re interested, head on over and take the survey.

One (1) survey respondent—chosen at random—will win a $25 shopping spree in the mental_floss store, and three (3) more will win mental_floss back issues. (To enter, just fill out the survey and supply your email address at the end of it.)

  1. Looking at that cover again, I wonder why Obama/McCain weren’t more prominently displayed… Hillary, who didn’t even win the nomination of her party, is in the front seat. Just curious about how you guys picked the people who would be in the piece.

I would think that Obama and McCain both have a decent case to be made for a wild ride to the White House.

  2. I can tell you! McCain and Obama were on the initial draft, but the McCain photos were too expensive for our little wallets, and it didn’t feel right putting on just Obama and not McCain. Plus, Hillary’s face was perfect for the coaster in our opinions. /m

  3. Thanks Mangesh! That was the first thing I thought when I saw the cover.

  4. Thanks for the explanation… it makes a ton of sense, and you’re right: the Hillary picture is perfect. I forget that it costs money to put pictures on the cover.
