if you go to my website, about halfway down the page, you may spot something to change your mind about whether the Earth survived the startup of the LHC …

look for the “Earth Status” indicator

click on it .. after 3 years of comfort, today (9-11) it says “Earth Destroyed”

You have to take into account what the listmakers think constitutes “best” – a city with low taxes might not have good sushi, and vice versa.

Interesting read, but all of these “best places to live” lists have got to be the most arbitrary things in the world! I guess it’s a good sell for magazines and good marketing for cities on the list.

The Best Places to Live cities are compared using New York as the base city with an index score of 100… I don’t know… New York? I don’t want to live there…

The college dorm link is busted: it sent me to what seemed an obvious spyware or virus site in the guise of being an anti virus or spyware site. Certainly nothing about college dorms.
