there’s more people than that tho. apparantly Mr. Winston had arranged to sell it to some guy who never was able to make the purchase because he was on the titanic… mabey the hope diamond was the whole reason it sunk…nau thats sumthin to think about. and apparantly the diamond was taken from son indian groups cave in europe before being placed in the statue. but thats strange because the curse cudn’ta been placed yet, and yet the man who illedgedly stole it died. there’s more too. look around the interwebs and memebases. hmm… where’s the diamond that was in the statue’s otha socket (eyeball). oh…wasn’t there a movie where ernest steals two gems from a statue’s eye, makes a yoyo…oh wait… he didn’t steal them sum1 else did, and he ended up purchasing them, and he and his girl friend were almost killed… ah yes… here ’tis… called “Ernest Goes to Africa” (1997)good movie. all the “Ernest Goes…” ones are. i believe he also goes to camp and jail and such. anywho i’m way off topic. well i’ll go fuh nau. gudbai.

Yes, unfortunately there is no photographic evidence of anything in the late 1700s. Lol.

Also, Vickey, this is not the most “expensive” diamond in the world. The most (in)valuable diamond is the Cullinan I at 530.2 carats.

In my opinion I think the hope diamond is a magnificent jewel…But thing about it is it did not kill anyone until it was sold from one person to another and it never killed the person who owned it…maybe if no one was so gready and take it from its rightful place not some many people would have died from it.
