The college football world will be focused on Los Angeles this weekend, as #5 Ohio State will be taking on #1 USC. The winner will likely be the favorite to win this season’s Bowl Championship Series title. Here’s a little quiz for your pregame routine, devised by Brett Savage—name the previous 10 BCS champions. One team has won it twice, and it might not be the one you think.

Take the Quiz: Name the BCS Champions (1998-2007)

And if any Buckeye or Trojan fans want to make a bold prediction or talk some general trash in the comments, have at it.

  1. Go me. 1:28 It took me a while to figure out that I had to type the two-time winner twice though.

Go Ohio State. I wish that both could lose. However, since that’s impossible, I’ll go with OSU, since I’d dearly love to see the pretty boys of USC knocked on their tails for once. Pete Carroll has a striking resemblance to a used-car salesman. Ick. Besides, it’s not as if OSU will be able to win it all anyway.

So, go OSU. But if I were a betting woman, my money would be on USC.

Fun quiz! After attending a Big XII football school, I’m now doing grad school in the Ivy League, where the lacrosse team has more street cred than the football team. Sigh.

  2. I love the college football quizzes!

  3. The two-time winner was exactly who I thought it was!!! Geaux Tigers!

I’d also like to point out that LSU, the only double winner beat out two other winners, Oklahoma in 2003 and Ohio State in 2007.

Of course, in 2003, USC whined enough that the AP awarded them their number 1, despite the fact that LSU won the championship game, the game the coaches agreed would declare the champ. I can’t wait until LSU faces USC in the BSC Championship, so we can really see who’s on top.
