Every Photoshop Filter
by Chris Higgins - September 16, 2008 - 1:43 PM

What happens when you take a photograph and apply every Photoshop filter to it? Well, cartoonist/infographicographer Dorothy Gambrell did just that. And she applied them in order, as they appear in the Filters menu. Starting with this:

Filter 0

After sixteen filters the image had turned into this:

Filter 16

It just keeps going and going — all the way through 107 filters. As the series progresses, the image seems to lose coherence, then rebuild itself anew. Check out the whole series, and while you’re at it, spend some quality time with Gambrell’s blog very small array.
