Wow, I’m a girl and straight but I think our standards for attractiveness are way different than what they used to be… I can’t really say that I think Belle was beautiful… I guess that’s just my opinion though!

Actually, Julia Child was a clerical worker for the OSS, not a spy. She talked about it for years, so it wasn’t much of a secret.

What about Cheryl Ben Tov? She was the “honeytrap” that led to the capture of Mordechai Vanunu in Rome. It’s more of an example of “seduction” used by a spy agency.

It’s unnecessarily and more than a little sexist to call these women all “weapons of mass seduction” when that term applies to one of them or two at best. And how many of them use their “feminine wiles” exactly, as opposed to real courage and cleverness?

Mata Hari translates as eye of the day, with different meanings. It can mean the sun or a spy which comes from Mata Mata which is the plural of Mata or eye. This is slang for the police eyes are watching or spying.
