We’re two days removed from Monday Night Football and four days away from this coming Sunday, so NFL fans are already beginning to panic due to the lack of helmet-to-helmet hits and torn ACLs. And why don’t they just throw a flag for an “illegal block in the back” and penalize the return team 15 yards on EVERY kick return? It would save time. Personally, I think the referees just like playing with those little microphone switches on their belts. But I digress.

One NFL-related item did hit the news recently: Bruce Springsteen was announced as the star of the Super Bowl XLIII halftime show next February 1 in Tampa, Florida.
