I have to agree with BassMan.
They had to shoot them to “keep traffic moving” meanwhile they could get elephants “corralling back to their enclosure?” Rediculous. That was obviously one crew who wanted the easy way out. They should think twice next time they are in someone’s way.

Although it is amusing, it kind of depresses me. A lot of them were so close to finally breaking out and then they get shot or something. Not that I would want them to be loose and hurt people.

My daughter had a hamster related to Houdini. It stayed out of the cage more than in. That is until the snake pulled the same trick. After that the hamster gave us no more trouble..

My pet rabbit can unlatch his cage door. I had to put some clips on it to keep him from escaping. I thought I was going crazy for a little while when I would get home from work or wake up in the morning and he was loose in the house. Not as dramatic as the ones here, but rabbit teeth can do some serious damage, especially to electrical cords and shoes!

Amazingly, Jabari scaled a 16-foot wall to break out of his enclosure. This was apparently caused by the gorilla being teased by some kids, who probably ended up wishing the wall was a few feet higher.
