Just goes to show, everyone's idea of "art" is different! But Lichtenstein's work is enjoyed by so many that no one need question its validity as true art.

I've always been captivated by Lichtenstein after first seeing a print of "Drowning Girl." Many of my peers dismissed that piece, and others of his as too cartoonish, but being something of an art enthusiast myself I could see the depth in his works that the non-trained eye would miss, and certainly the reasons for his success in the art community.
