I agree with zanth and Maura–
My first reaction was to the slap on the wrist MacTavish received and the 20 years for drugs…

But that’s how our system is. Drug penalties are inflated.

The piece said he got 20 years prior to trying to have two people killed… which added another 21 years to his sentence.

So yeah I say something is wrong when you get more time for selling drugs then murder.

I think this post makes it pretty obvious that athletes committing crimes and what they’re sentenced with varies greatly with what the rest of us would receive. This isn’t news… but come on, 1 year for killing a woman while driving drunk? How can that be justified? And the hockey world let Mr. MacTavish back in…? Come again?
