Rock, pop, and R&B found its own in the decade between 1955 and 1965, but a huge chunk of the best-known bands and groups appeared in the ten years after that, from 1965 to 1975. Sometimes, however, it’s difficult to recall just how old a particular musical act is, and when it got its start. That’s your goal here – to identify when these 10 bands/groups released their debut albums, the 1960s or 1970s. Just mark your choice and continue; your score will appear at the end of the quiz.

Wait. How is a band that was around from 1969-1982 considered a 60’s band?

Luke, I had to draw the line somewhere, so (as per the instructions) we’re looking for the decade when the group released its debut LP.

this might have been interesting if there had been more bands from earlier in the 60’s. But give me a break, most of those in the quiz started in 69. Hardly sixties bands imho

Lame quiz. Too many answers on the cusp.

I duno, I am pretty good with my classic rock. But knowing whether a bands official release date was 12/31/69 or 1/01/70 isn’t much fun. I agree with lakelady, it would be great quiz if there was a little more space between the release dates. I hope you do something very similar in the future.

The dates ran between 1965 and 1975. Guess I’ll have to do the Beatles and Devo next time.

Disappointed I didn’t ace this one. Kool and the Gang question tripped me up.
Good feature!
