For me the 2000 debates will be hard to top, though Tina Fey’s Sarah Palin is right up there. I didn’t watch SNL in the 80s, and I don’t remember it being nearly as influential (or funny).

Dana Carvey as George Bush. Whenever I saw someone else impersonating Bush, they were actually impersonating Carvey.
