		<description>To be fair, Freud actually did discover the use of cocaine as an anesthetic in eye surgery, for which is still used. He did indeed use it and tout its benefits, evidently without becoming addicted, but when he saw what happened to his friend, he declared it &quot;The fifth scourge of mankind&quot; and stopped using or recommending it. Later in his life he suffered severe pain resulting from mouth cancer surgery, but did not use it in spite of its anesthetic qualities. He DID continue to smoke cigars though!</description>
