Lunchtime Quiz: Before the CW

It was three years ago that the underperforming channels UPN and The WB folded into the CW. It was a step up, since the CW has captured more attention than each of the old networks did, even though each had its fair share of noteworthy shows (and plenty of less-than-noteworthy ones). Do you remember which network these shows used to air on?

  5. I don’t think the WB cancelled Buffy, but UPN offered Joss Whedon more money and he switched networks.

  6. This was a surprisingly fun quiz! I can’t believe Veronica Mars was on UPN. I thought it aired after Gilmore Girls but I think that was after the CW merge. Awww . . . how I miss Veronica Mars.

  11. Our local CW station, serving the Yakima Valley area, went off the air due to bankruptcy. Supposedly we will get it back when the switch to digital broadcasting is completed in February.

  13. I only missed one but that’s because I only watched Clueless when it was on TGIF for a time–how was I to know it moved? Haha. Aw, I miss The WB.
