the new york times is reporting that his real name is not joe, its samuel and he does not have a license which is requires in municipalities of toledo, does not belong to the union and owes back taxes.
i guess it sucks to instantly become a “celebrity” like this and there you are under all this scrutiny.

Get out of teh big city once in a while, you’ll find that plumbers do not need to be licensed everywhere.

As to stolen copper, odds are in certain locales over 50%% of foreclosed homes will have copper pipe and wires as well as aluminum siding stolen and sold for scrap while they sit empty, further reducing the value of the property. I even read where they are stealing wiring from streetlamps.

I think Joe’s link to Keating has been debunked. I heard that earlier today and thought it sounded fishy. BUt in this year’s campaign, you never know!

A co-worker just told me that Joe the Plumber is related to Charles Keating, which doesn’t necessarily mean anything, but seems like a crazy coincidence, right? This election has been nuts.

Actually, Joe the plumber was in his yard on the weekend throwing the football with his son when Obama’s entourage detoured off Airport Highway on the way to Maumee Bay State Park where he spent 3 days preparing for the debate. He got out and chatted with neighborhood folk, and Joe went up and posed his tax questions. Joe is quoted as saying ‘He tapped dance better than Sammy Davis, Jr.”
And, he put my home town Toledo on the map!

So a plumber who works from 6 A.M. to 7 P.M. just happened to take off work to attend an Obama rally to bring up the fact that he is considering buying a Plumbing business that will make $250k/year, which coincidentally is the minimum amount someone needs to make to get their taxes raised under Obama’s plan.

Come on, I am a Republican, but I know a plant when I see one.
