Five friends met at a restaurant to discuss their jobs. Their names were Cal, Dan, Joe, Sam, and Ted. The highest-paid among them was a doctor, followed by an architect, a plumber, and tailor. One of the gentleman was unemployed. Using the following four clues, can you determine which man held which job?
1. Yes, Joe is the plumber.
2. One man’s first name has the same first letter as his job.
3. Dan earns more than Cal, but both do have jobs.
4. Sam has one of the two top-paying jobs.
HERE is the solution.
I love logic puzzles – but too easy!

That was the easiest brain game ever published on this site.

Yes, but was it too easy? I cannot seem to decipher these cryptic comments…

As someone who is not in MENSA, or through with college for that matter, yes it was easy. Then again, there have been brain games where the question is MENSA level, and I’ve still been able to figure it out. I guess it’s the luck of the drawl. Keep up the good work Sandy, I heart the brain game!

if Ted were the tailor (same first letter) that would make Cal the architect, Dan the doctor (still), Joe the plumber, and Sam unemployed. no?

DH, that would make clue 4 false.
Anyway, this was way too easy. Just by reading the clues it blatantly says everyone has a job except for Ted. Then Dan becomes the doctor (only letter with a name and a job available) and everything else falls into place.
