Haring even painted on the Berlin Wall. I studied him in art school. His death was a tragic loss.

Great post, but I admit, Haring’s work does not make me giddy. It’s fun and uplifting, but I’m kind of partial to faces (the dolphin has one in Tuttomondo).

If I recall correctly Madonna and Keith were good friends. I used to be jealous of my friend in high school because she had a limited edition Keith Herring Swatch watch.

Yay! Haring!

SMX was right, I am giddy. It seems that since Haring would have turned 50 this year, he’s being featured in several places.

Emily, don’t feel silly… that’s exactly how I first heard of Haring. I’ve been a huge fan of his work ever since… and I just read in Vanity Fair that it is Haring’s work that Madonna is using. As well as some of his pieces/icons in her costuming.

A new book about Haring is set to come out in November.

I love that Keith Haring is featured! I remember seeing a Nickelodeon commercial for him and being hooked ever since (yeah, a little pathetic, I know).

Just saw Madonna in concert and she used some of his art (or at least some art inspired by him) in her stage show and it reminded me of him.
