When my now eight-year-old cousin was a baby, my aunt Becky wanted to dress her as a tomato! P.S.-Xada-the aforementioned cousin-is not Becky’s child. I think she was a sunflower. Becky’s child Zoe was a zebra for her first Halloween.

That lobster baby is seriously the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen. And it’s now my desktop. And the Cthulhu! I’ve been a weird Cthulhu kick the past couple of days.

I want children now just to dress them up like that.

I was watching tv the other day, and they showed a guy dressed up as the Empire State building, his baby was dressed up as a Gorilla. King Kong. It looked like he was climbing up the side of the building when he held him! Too funny!

My son was a lobster last year for his first Halloween (he was 2 months old and slept through all of it). He’s walking this year, and will be Super-Dino–an amalgamation of two hand-me down costumes. I can’t wait! :)

Since I had my kids, I had hoped they’d be at the crawling stage at the right season to dress them as turtles for Halloween (alas, their timing was off). Just seemed like a natural to me. I’ve got to say now, though, that I LOVE the snail.

On the other hand, those dolls with the octopus and critter costumes are CREEPY.
