I live less than 20 miles from midtown Manhattan and normally can&#039;t see many  stars from my front yard, but that night was absolutely amazing.  Everyone in the neighborhood was outdoors just looking up in awe - the kind of view of zillions of stars in the night sky that we&#039;d normally have to travel many, many miles away to see.

It makes me sad to think that a vista like that will probably never - ever - be visible again in this area.</description>
