It’s Peanut Butter Lovers’ Month, so I did all I could to prepare for today’s quiz. Since I hail from Georgia, I already know how peanuts grow, so I had a head start. From there, things got scary. I had to examine peanut butter – creamy, chunky, even extra chunky. I took a close look at peanut-butter candy (and found myself subjected to a 1970s Reese’s commercial with Donny Most and Robby Benson). I listened to a couple of old albums by a 1960s psychedelic band called The Peanut Butter Conspiracy. Finally, I closed my eyes and said “Picky people pick Peter Pan peanut butter” three times quickly.
Hopefully, it all paid off. Take the Quiz: Peanut Butter Dreams
Point of contention regarding the Girl Scout Cookie question: according to the official bakers of Girl Scout cookies, Do-Si-Dos (also called peanut butter sandwiches, depending on region) are made with oatmeal cookies, not peanut butter cookies.

When I think of Elvis & peanut butter, I think of bananas. :)

Also, Tagalongs DO have both peanut butter filling and a peanut butter cookie in addition to the chocolate. Trick question.

Point of contention with the Girl Scout cookie question. Not all cookies are named the same thing throughout the country. Where I live we simply have Peanut Butter Patties and Peanut Butter Sandwich cookies. Samoas are instead called Caramel Delights.

Good catch, Anne; I’ve corrected the question.

Of course it must be pointed out that Reese’s Pieces was not the original candy choice for ET but rather M&M’s. The Mars company however declined Steven Speilberg’s offer and he then turned to Reese’s Pieces.
