Lets not forget the Oklahoma Boise State game a few years back. Oklahoma was a 6.5 point favorite and the hook and ladder play at the end forced overtime. Then Boise going for 2 ruined any chance of an overtime cover for Oklahoma bettors.

"I have a friend who has gambled entire paychecks away in a single sitting, has stolen from employers and gambled the money away and worse. Pretty sad. Gambling is no good."

I remember an NFL football game about 10 years back. It was on monday night football and I believe it was Pittsburgh versus Jacksonville. One team was down by 1 or 2 points and lined up for a field goal to win the game. A friend of mine had a bet on this game and the only way he would lose his bet is if the field goal was blocked and run back for a touchdown. We were already out the door to the bar we were at and my friend doubled back just to see the end of the game and make sure (he even said the scenario out loud, jinxing it to no end). Needless to say, the kick was blocked and run back for a TD. Even though I had no money on the game, my friend was completely shellshocked. He stood in front of the TV for a good 5 minutes before I told him that we should drink a few more before leaving.
