speaking of b-boying, I recently watched one of the best documentaries I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing – Planet B-Boy. The doc follows a handful of crews from around the world as they qualify and get ready for The Battle of the Year in Germany (the Battle of the Year = the B-Boy World Series).
very well done film showing that b-boying survived the early to mid-80’s commercial joke that breakdancing became (think “Breakin’ 2 – Electric Boogaloo”), and is actually thriving as an artform across the globe
p.s. – I just noticed the Planet B-Boy main site has been hacked, so DO NOT go there. search for the wikipedia or imdb page instead

this was immensely unimpressive the first time I saw it and it hasn’t got any better.
