My father died of AIDS in 1994. I miss him terribly every day and every year I re-read And The Band Played On. I will be getting this book tomorrow. Thank you.

Mary Caplan’s story brought tears to my eyes. One of the best books I’ve ever read is “And the Band Played On”, which I’m currently re-reading. I have to get this book also!
