Some things about traffic that may surprise you. Excerpted from the book Traffic: Why We Drive The Way We Do by Tom Vanderbilt. (via Look at This)

The Strange Story of Santa Claus. A history of the jolly elf that resembles nothing you’ve heard before, but it makes about as much sense as any other Santa story.

  1. Thanks for that video of Nick Vujicic. Always nice to see people in the world who are enjoying life to the fullest.

Also the Boones Farm joke was great.

    I wish!!!

  2. I went to Amazon to add ‘Traffic’ to my wish list. There’s a good interview with him there, plus a link to his blog.
Also, the Philadelphia Inquirer did a series on the Bush administration’s preemptive war on the environment via the EPA a couple weeks back. They might ave posted it on line by now.

  3. I hope they succeed in allowing more coal plants.

  4. I too hope the new administration can get regulations where they should be.
