I must ask, where on Earth is the Llama song? That’s a classic if I’ve ever seen one, especially since it spawned a countless number of copycats. My favorite of these is the Obama Song.

Pretty impressive group, but which one spawned a new movie treatment after 30 years of “living” in obscurity? I think Ceiling Cat is the most likely of the LOLcats to achieve pop-icon status, unless of course it’s the original “I can has cheezburger” cat.

I think I’ll make it my goal to get a monotreme on next year’s version of this list. Everybody needs goals.
