The guy who stole the tank, after wreaking thousands of dollars in damage around the community and endangering dozens of lives, eventually high-centered it on a freeway median. At that point, the police mounted the vehicle, and attempted to arrest the driver. The driver resisted arrest, and was killed. This story is at least ten years old.
