You’ve probably played it a million times, but how well do you remember the six original characters from Clue? None of this new-fangled “Madame Rose” or “Sergeant Grey” stuff – strictly the basics, please. And sorry, there’s no Singing Telegram Girl either. You’ll need to enter the whole name (so, “Ms. Chartreuse,” not just “Chartreuse”). To jog your memory, the victim is Mr. Boddy. Good luck!

Take the Quiz: Name the Clue Characters

Comments (16)
  1. Done in a minute thanks to remembering the Clue movie. I probably would have been done quicker, but I couldn’t for the life of me spell Colonel correctly…

  2. About 40 seconds. And the hardest part was spelling colonel. I can NEVER spell that!

  3. I am your singing telegram – BANG!

    Always, ALWAYS funny.

as is my recaptcha: racing fireboats

  4. 27 seconds.

Pretty good since I haven’t seen the movie or played the game in years.

  5. 21 Seconds. The movie has been on cable at least 3,456 times this week alone.

  6. Got ‘em all… I could quote theheck out of that movie.

“We’re like the mounties- we always get our man!” “Mrs Peacock is man??”

  7. 22 seconds. Again, with help from the movie.

reCaptcha – Turnpike vodka … that hardly seems safe!

  8. Communism is just a red herring!

  9. I think Ms. Scarlet should count as well. I spent about 90 seconds trying to figure out if Scarlet was spelled with double r’s l’s or t’s because it wouldn’t work and I KNEW it was right!

  10. 2 minutes? I was able to rattle ‘em off like members of my family. Not only from the movie, but from years of playing the game while growing up.

  11. “Clue” is by far my most favorite comedy of all time, so remembering all the characters names was a no brainer!

F-fl-fl-flames-flames, on the side of my face…

  12. My favorite game and movie ever!

The “Flames on the side of my face” is my favorite quote, I believe that it was actually ad-libbed by Madeline Kahn.

You should do a “Quick 10″ on the book/movie.

Here are some random facts that I know off the top of my head:

    - There was a 4th ending that was never released where Wadsworth killed Boddy and then poisoned everyone else so they couldn’t rat him out.

-Jane Wiedlin from The Go Go’s was the singing telegram girl

-Mr. Boddy was and Anthropologist and Prof. Plum was an Archeologist

-It is called “Cluedo” in Europe because it is a pun on the game “Ludo” which we dont have in the US

  13. sweet! i was just watching cash cab and this was a red light challenge :)
also, i agree that ms. scarlett should’ve been accepted. i actually didn’t even think of using “miss” and had to give up :( i’m kind of dumb that way

  14. YES! It took me 34 seconds to name them all (like leigh, I kept typing “Ms. Scarlet” and then realized it was probably “miss” because this was all made before political correctness XD ).

PLEASE do a Quick 10 or something on the game and the movie. It’s the only board game I like (I tolerate the rest).

And where’s that man Tim Curry gone? I miss him. He’s one of my favorite actors, but he’s disappeared recently.

reCaptcha: Attorney sounded (sounds vaguely Faulkneresque!)

  15. Allison – I think he has been doing a lot of kids’ stuff and cartoons – voiceover work and that sort of thing. Which is cool, but I’d love to see him in more stuff, too. I love Tim Curry. Except in IT.

  16. Done in 17 sec. I was surprised I remembered them all that quickly

I used to play this all the time. Had the board game and the sega version. But I stress the word USED to.
