I grew up on Casu Marzu. It has a lovely complex and multi-layer taste. And the texture is just wonderful. The sensation of the little cute maggots hopping up in your mouth--nothing beats that. The best part is when you squish the maggots in your mouths and their juices ooze out. Nutritionally, studies have shown that it is extremely beneficial. It is full of vitamins, anti-oxidants, and high-quality protein. The enzymes secreted by the maggots are great for your digestive system.

To be fair, most of the posts didn't suggest the PEOPLE who ate Casu Marzu were gross, disgusting, and foul. They just felt the cheese was--or actually, that the maggots (and the maggot poo) were. Gotta say I'm with 'em.

Bloody typical Americans. All you can do is sit there and say how gross and disgusting and foul these people are. Why don't you get off of your deep-fried high horse and get some culture in you?

Yep, still don't like cheese...
(On the other subject that popped up, I think the Fluffernutter got voted the official sandwich of Massachusetts a few years ago. Funnier to say it with a Bahstahn accent, "Fluffahnuttah")
