I’m really digging this series. I thought I was a semi-serious political junkie and I’d never heard that story about Perot’s daughter. Wild! Looking forward to see what you learned about 1996 — in my mind, there was almost nothing interesting about that election.

You should add that Slick Willy was elected with less than 50% of the vote (43% to be precise).

Since a vast majority of Perot’s votes were siphoned from the Republican party, it is likely that Bush would have won if Perot was not running.

Although I thought Perot was a paranoid little gnome at the time, I’d be much more inclined to believe him these days.
I’m still waiting for the real attacks on Obama to begin. Do you think they’re not gonna use the Republican Hate Machine this time?
