Score some Will Eisner books
by David K. Israel - January 8, 2009 - 6:24 AM

The_Best_of_the_Spirit_1280x1024.jpgIf you missed our interview yesterday with the curator of Will Eisner’s estate, Carl Gropper, you might want to check that out. It’ll come in handy if you want to score some Will Eisner books today. We’ll be giving away a copy of The Dreamer and the Will Eisner Reader (7 graphic stories), to two lucky readers who can answer the following two questions correctly:

1. The Dreamer is based on the life of whom?
2. What are The Spirit’s superpowers?

Send your answers to: TriviaHunt@Gmail.com. (Don’t leave them in the comments, please.) We’ll randomly pick two winners who have both answers down correctly. (Hint: They both can be found in yesterday’s interview.)

Also: anyone see the new Miller film based on Eisner’s character? How about a movie review in the comments? Thumb up or down?

  2. The movie was fairly good as long as you watched it from the viewpoint that is based on a comic book. As someone who has read most of the Spirit comics (thank you, Kitchen Sink Press!), I must say that this was Frank Miller’s take on the Spirit and not Will Eisner’s that was portrayed in the movie.

  3. Hey, did you ever announced the winners of this contest? I just combed the archives and didn’t see anything about it. I entered, and I was wondering…
