My friends and I have always referred to mullets as “schmelbies.” I don’t know if that’s an actual term or if we just made it up.

Also, regarding rexology’s “mudflap” contribution, that’s what my friends and I call labia. So, uh, yeah.

We always called the “mullet” the “mudflap”. Rockers had the mudflap, skaters had the banana (short hair with long, banana-shaped bangs hanging into the face)

A bit of useless beehive hairdo trivia:

Before he was an actor, Danny DeVito was a hairdresser whose specialty was the beehive. He even gained a measure of fame because his ‘do was tested as safe up to 50 mph winds. They checked this by him fixing up a woman’s hair, and she was then put out on a peir during a severe windstorm, and her hair didn’t come down until the wind topped 50mph.

I’m not afraid to rock a real “hawk”. I just don’t like it as much as I like the faux-hawk. It really does look good on me. But, yeh not everyone can look good with a faux or a mo.

My dad had a mullet until he realized it was called the mullet. We tried to get him to cut his hair different for years and somehow he never noticed us all calling it a mullet until about 3 years ago. That’s when it was finally cut and never came back!!!

I would have to say that the faux-hawk is up there with the mullet as the worst hairstyles. The faux-hawk is for all those people who want to be “punk rockers” but are too weak to actually get a real mohawk. You should either rock the hawk or you shouldnt…there isnt any in between.

Are you kidding me? the mohawk? Man the mohawk is the second best hairstyle invented with the faux-hawk being the best ever. I am quite proud to rock the “hawk”. Faux-hawk that is, of course ;)
