Flosser Merinda has sent in this educational and hilarious chart regarding heavy metal band names. It reminds me of a Ricky Gervais podcast where they attempted to come up with the Most Ultimate Metal Name … Ever. Suggestions included “Brain Hammer” and “Tumor Fish,” but the eventual winner was “Deathlehem,” a band that would only play their concept albums on tour during Christmas. Brilliant.

Strange and bizarre images fill the portfolio of photographer Holger Pooten … but we like it that way.

Natural deodorant is great, but do they have to call it “Funk Butter?”

“I will go where the streets have …” terrible names. Let us hope we never have to say “make a left on Booger Branch and go straight until you hit Diggleberry Road” to direct someone to our abode.

Creepy abandoned amusement park does not evoke the connotations of the word “amusement.”

Lori felt inspired by my amateur photo last week and sent in some jewels of her own!
(1) Taken around 9 AM on a chilly winter morning in December on Lake Winnebago, WI
(2) Taken on an excursion to Chittenango Falls State Park in central NY at the peak of leaf changing season

Loved “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” when it was on… and I was way above the target audience.
Awesome pictures at “It’s A Wonderful World”.
Thanks for the links!

The pictures of the amusement park are absolutely gorgeous. And I am SO happy about the link to Are You Afraid of the Dark, I loved that show so much as a kid, wow…

Hey, what a fun place to find an unsolicited plug – thanks! Authors come on and cast, too (like Lauren Willig and Patrick Rothfuss), and we’re just starting to add video games for casting (Halo 1-2-3 and Gears of War 1-2 now ready). Happy casting!
