A lot has been said about the big names of NBC’s Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. And rightfully so. You’ve got Matthew Perry, Bradley Whitford, Amanda Peet, Steven Weber, D.L. Hughley, Timothy Busfield and Sarah Paulson. But what I find more interesting is the high quantity of random people you recognize from other things. Everybody’s a somebody. Here’s from what.
Nate Torrence (above), the Capital One Guy. Before that, the Enterprise Rent-A-Car guy.
[If you're not watching the show, you shouldn't be bothered by the rest of this. So I'll hide the other seven after the jump.]
Top Row (see collage below):
Evan Handler, Harry from Sex and the City.
Carlos Jacott, Ramon The Pool Guy from Seinfeld.
Ayda Field, formerly of Days of Our Lives and a fellow Duke alum.
Lucy Davis, Dawn from The Office (original BBC version). She popped up uncredited in episode 3.

Bottom Row:
Wendy Phillips, from Falcon Crest and Big Love.
Diana-Marie Riva, Edie from the last season of The West Wing.
Nathan Corddry, of Daily Show fame.
If you gonna do something this goofy, then wouldn’t even better credits for Carlos Jacott be Jack on “She Spies” and Dobson on the pilot episode of Joss Whedon’s cult series “Firefly” (both shows aired in December 2002, a big darn month for C.J.).
You can thank me later. ;-)

CJ will always be Ramon the Pool Guy to me.

Actually, Carlos Jacott had the “Whedonverse” triple-crown. He had guest spots on both “Buffy” and “Angel,” as well as “Firefly.”
Credit where credit’s due, and all that…

Nate Torrence is great! I can’t wait until he gets more screen time on the show. He was in a short film I directed and it’s no wonder he’s made it this far – he’s a pleasure to work with. You may also remember him from that VW commercial.
