I have to say, being in DC for the inauguration, it kind of disgusts me how much crap is being sold on the streets. Seriously, you can’t walk a block without seeing 10 people hawking t-shirts, buttons, etc. There are even stores that have sprung up entirely devoted to Obama merchandise. It seems a bit like shameless exploitation, an anything-for-a-buck sort of thing. Although I vow not to purchase a single item, I of course recognize that there is still a big market for these products -and with any luck the US economy will rebound solely due to their sale (though would Obama himself get the credit?).

Personally, I liked the McCain and Obama soda that Jones had out. You got 2 Pure McCain Colas and 2 Yes We Can Colas in a 4 pack. Now there’s Orange You Glad for Change.

I’ve been watching ABC and apparently there’s someone out there selling soap (or something like that) with the label “The Audacity of Soap.” Wow.
