There are plenty of references in the show you actualy would have had to read a book to understand (mostly things that Brian says.) By the way, I'm a 25 year old woman, so I'm not in the target demographic either, but my sisters and I love it! I am so sad over the loss of Pushing Daisies. I am dying to see the final 3 episodes, which they my not air, but can't bring myself to buy the dvds as much as I want them. I don't want to give ABC anything! Maybe after a while I can get some second-hand. Firefly, too, was incredible. And Arrested Development - are networks allergic to clever writing or something?
