Ransom Riggs
Of specious polls and shameless plugs
by Ransom Riggs - October 6, 2006 - 7:30 PM

spaceboy_poster.jpgAs long a we’re talking alien abductions and arguably foolhardy attempts to insure against such disasters, I feel compelled to shamelessly plug an arguably foolhardy venture of my own: the NYC premiere of my short film, Spaceboy on Saturday, 10/7. It concerns a friendless, UFO-obsessed boy who, after years of searching the skies in vain, thinks he may finally have made contact. (Lest people think it autobiography, let me stress that I’ve never been up-close-and-personal with the Third myself — though according to this poll conducted for the Sci-Fi channel, as many as four million Americans believe that they have.) Here’s more info on the screening, and a trailer.

  1. Shameless, shameless, shameless Ransom. Sorry I can’t make it to NYC for this one. Although I have seen it before. A couple of times, actually. Okay. I worked on it. But It’s good, you should go see it.
