We won’t win any points for originality with today’s Lunchtime Quiz – the ‘Name All 50 States’ game has been featured in an episode of Friends and at several English family holiday gatherings, among other places. But does that make it any easier? Let’s find out.

Take the Quiz: Name All 50 States

[And don't forget to come back and let us know which state(s) you missed.]

Comments (230)
  1. Yay, I got all but 5 before the time ran out.

  2. Nevada and New Jersey! ARGH!

  3. Damn you, Tennessee!

  4. Done with 2:45 to spare and geographically in order from west to east :)

Kieran, do you have a gambling aversion? You missed both states with legalized (non-reservation) gambling! No love for A.C. and Vegas?!

  5. Got ‘em all in 1:36 — alphabetically. I must admit the song we learned in school is still stuck in my brain.

    Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas………..

  6. iowa, new hampshire, kentucky….dang

  7. Missed Arkansas, Connecticut, Mississippi, Nebraska, Utah and Wyoming

Not bad for a Canadian I’d say!

  8. Yes! I got them all with 2:15 to go. Geographically, though, not alphabetically. I started in the southeast and made my way around the country counterclockwise.

  9. Couldn’t spell Massachussetts (and probably still can’t..) and I missed Maryland.

  10. I knew all of them, but I, too, couldn’t spell Massachusetts in the time limit.

  11. Sadly, it’s useless for me to try this quiz because in elementary school I learned the names of all 50 states in alphabetical order via a song which is now burned into my head.

  12. forgot kansas, vermont, and wisconsin.

  13. Done in 1:29 — although I’m sure somebody else who knows the song and has better typing skills could beat that.

  14. I missed New Jersey, too. For some reason, I had an idea I missed a “New” state…

  15. Delaware, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Utah, Wisconsin.

I mean they aren’t ‘real’ states anyway

  16. Connecticut, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Nevada

Shoot!! I need to learn that song apparently.

  17. It was just hard to remember which ones I had already put down. I went from northeast to west and just forgot Massachusetts. I kept thinking that I missed a midwest state. It is interesting to see the order people choose in different locations. For instance, I live in Maryland and decided to go east to west, but did someone in the California go west to east (not counting the people who just went in alphabetical order).

  18. Delaware, Maryland, Utah

  19. maryland! my wife knows the state alphabet song, but i don’t. damn you maryland!

  20. Done with 2:09 to spare. My system is west-to-east, north-to-south except up the East Coast. No particular reason, it’s just how I find it convenient.

You could have made this a lot harder by looking for entries like “Hawai’i”
or “Commonwealth of Virginia” or “Rhode Island and Providence Plantations”

  21. In Oregon, went west to east, starting with Alaska, Hawaii..

Missed Colorado and Connecticut. (Knew I was missing a Northeast state, but thought the other was some mysterious Southern commonwealth).

  22. Massachusetts, but that was because I finally gave up trying to spell it.

I also had a hard time keeping track of which ones I had already listed.

  23. How to spell Massachusetts! GRRR

  24. I forgot about Nevada and West VA.

  25. Got them all with time to spare, but what stumped me was spelling Connecticut and Massachusetts.

  26. like elsa, these are engraved in my melon. got em all with 2:02 left

  27. I’ve been to 48 states and I missed one that I’ve been to many times!

    Illinois. I’m very sad.

  28. 17 left over, all of which got ‘oh, yeah, that one’ reactions when I saw them. All in all, not bad for a European, no?

  29. Connecticut, Montana, Utah UGH!!!

  30. 49/50 (Sorry Louisiana.)

  31. I got them all with 40 seconds to spare. Would have been faster but I can’t type well.

  32. Got em all with :48 to go.

    Last one was Kentucky.

My ’system’ was to start with Maine and work my way down the East coast, then start to work westward…it fell apart though somewhere around #30.

  33. I love the State alphabet song…but I can never spell Massachusetts to save my life. I had to look it up on Wikipedia.

  34. Connecticut, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana

  35. JD, Louisiana accepts your apology.
Especially since this Louisianian missed Delaware, Indiana, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. I was on the verge of getting Delaware when time ran out, but I totally forgot those bland western states. I have no excuse for forgetting Indiana.

  36. Got ‘em with 2:45 left. . .anyone else remember Drop Dead Gorgeous — “Name and spell all the states in alphabetical order”. . .”WISK-KHAN-SUHN” W-I-S-C-O-N-S-I-N. . WHY-YO-MING”

  37. Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma…

  38. got em all!

  39. Does 49 in the first two minutes count? I forgot West Virginia.

  40. Maryland, Michigan and Pennsylvania. (I’m amazed that I got the rest of the East Coast–that’s a no-man’s land for me.)

  41. Wyoming and Wisconsin.

    I’d blame the W if I hadn’t gotten Washington and W. Virginia.

I went georgraphically clockwise from Maine

  42. Ran out of time before Iowa, Wisconsin and Maryland.

  43. Massachusetts and Vermont. I thought I typed in Vermont right along with New Hampshire, but alas.

@Tammy – one of my all time favorite movies and it always pops into my head when I need to remember all the states!

  44. Kansas!!

  45. HA! i got 48 in 2 minutes and drove my self mad envisioning the every state and what they all touch… and compltely forgot about alaska and hawaii

  46. Darn you, Wyoming!

  47. So Bitter!!
the test stopped acknowledging my entries, no matter how slowly and carefully I typed them in. It timed out as I was entering the state I LIVE in so I know it wasn’t wrong.
    Grrrrr!!!!

  48. I too have the “50 Nifty United States” song eternally stuck in my head… so I finished with 3:32 to spare. That song actually comes in handy every few years… like now! :)

  49. 48/50 states

I cannot believe that I missed Colorado, where my dad has lived more many years. As for New Jersey, is that a state or more of a really large suburb???

Side note regarding mnemonics: I thought someone might mention the way I learned to spell Mississippi: em-eye-crooked letter-crooked letter-eye-crooked letter-crooked letter-eye-humpback-humpback-eye.

And for the record, I lived in Massasschusetts at one point in my life and was thereby forced to remember how to spell it! (:

  50. P.S.–

Except for now! Darn that crazy state name — Massachusetts that is.

I did spell it right during the quiz…

  51. Only missed Connecticut. I knew it was one of those small states up in the Northeast.

  52. It did it again! Right at the 1.5 minutes left point it stopped accepting my answers.

    Rooaaarrrr!!

  53. I stumbled on the spelling for Massachusetts, and was trying to spell Illinois when time ran out. In my haste I also overlooked Connecticut and Utah.

  54. I’m sad so many people missed Maryland
    :(

Wanna hear something even more sad? I missed Oklahoma and Missouri. Where was I born? O-k-l-a-h-o-m-a Oklaaaahooooooma!

  55. I thought of Delaware with 2 seconds left, so I couldn’t type it in.

But I neglected Connecticut, Maryland, and Wyoming.

  56. Stinking song….but you never know when it’ll come in handy for a lunchtime quiz. But it’ll be in my head for about three days…

  57. Michigan, Missouri and Pennsylvania. Curses.

  58. Missed 5 because time ran out. I think I would have gotten all of them with more time. And it sucks that you’re penalized for using the space bar.

  59. Got all 50 and in alphabetical order too. I think the next logical step in this quiz would be to name all 50 states, but use their postal abbreviations.

  60. Couldn’t spell Massachusetts?

  61. Maryland . . . seems as though quite a few missed that one. Is it just that boring of a state?

  62. ugh. ohio. 49 states with 2 minutes left.

  63. Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, New Hampshire – DOH!

  64. Erg, pathetic. Missed 5.

Apparently, I thought Connecticut, but forgot to TYPE it.

I also missed Missouri (which borders my state), Texas (where my step-dad is from), Oklahoma, and Minnesota. How random.

  65. Being a well educated but nothing-special-in-geography 28 year old Hungarian, I went till 7. What a sheme, would have never thought! I go and learn them right now!

  66. missed 5:
    Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, Wisconsin
    Damn!!!

  67. missed 5:

    Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, Wisconsin

    Damn!!!!

  68. Maryland… couldn’t remember Maryland to save my life. That’s because I didn’t start on the east coast.

  69. Delaware, Missouri, Oklahoma

    I ALWAYS miss Oklahoma

  70. Nebraska got me.

    (Heyman Paris)

  71. I got them all but Nebraska and Oklahoma. Better than I thought I would do.

  72. Curses Iowa!

  73. Arkansas, Minnesota, Iowa

  74. Got them all with 3:22 to spare. Love that song that lists them alphabetically. It probably helps I’m originally from Connecticut, so I know how to spell that, and Massachusetts. ;-)

  75. AGH! Got 49 in the first 3 minutes, going from west to east. Just couldn’t come up with WYOMING.

  76. Connecticut…

  77. dang. i got 49 pretty easily (3.5 min), but couldn’t get NEBRASKA!

  78. Gotta love that song “Fifty Nifty United States”. I learned that 40 years ago and still use it to name all the states.

  79. Hey Deucer! GRRR!! What do you mean Wisconsin isn’t a “real” state anyway? Wisconsin is the best!

  80. I missed 9:

Arkansas, Hawaii, Indiana, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin

I was trying to picture the map of the USA, and I obviously missed a big chunk.

  81. Got all 50 with 3:06 to spare thanks to the Fifty Nifty state song I learned in 5th grade music class — all 50 states in alphabetical order, and it’s stuck with me since then.

  82. I was so cocky going in, but I still missed Nebraska, Oklahoma, Utah, Vermont, Wyoming.

  83. I got all 50 in 3 minutes and 52 seconds. I thought I was done, and it said I had one left. Going over the list, I realized I had left off Oklahoma. I added that, and finished it up!

  84. knew all of them, but I, too, couldn’t spell Massachusetts in the time limit.

  85. i’m embarassed to admit i somehow left california out…i could have sworn i’d gone up the west coast……..

  86. Utah and Nevada – went ’round & ’round them too.

I don’t know what it means, but it looks like no one missed Ohio. Hope that’s good, probably not.

  87. Got ‘em all with 1:29 left!

    Let’s do capitals!

  88. Anamaniacs fails me yet again

  89. ARG! At 1:30 remaining I had them all but Wisconsin. Completely forgot about that state and its delicious dairy products…

  90. 3:18 left and they were in alphabetical order. Unfortunately, or fortunately I guess, I still remember the song from 4th grade I had to learn.

  91. forgot maryland and nevada

  92. First off, I missed Vermont, Kansas, Wisconsin.

Lastly, there is a song?!?! i apparently need to learn this thing.

  93. Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Vermont -too many. Time ran out. Would have gotten Tennassee if I had rememebered how to spell it.

  94. I only had 7 left before time ran out.. Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin..

  95. Iowa, Minnesota, Tennessee, Wyoming

Oh please, like ANYONE remembers those…

  96. damn you michigan.

  97. Delaware, Maryland, Minnesota

  98. I got all 50 with just under 2 minutes left, thanks to “Fifty Nifty…” I sang it much faster, but my fingers couldn’t keep up.

Judging from how many others know the song – I learned it in 1968 or 1969, my nieces learned it in the 1990’s, who knows when all the other flossers learned it – I’ll bet the composer has made a pretty penny from it.

And this isn’t the first time the song has come in handy for me…

  99. Maryland, really???? I must say I’m a bit offended by how many people missed Maryland!

I find the central states much more difficult … ones like Nebraska or Wyoming with no major cities, sport teams or landmarks. I mean seriously, what has Missouri done for you lately?

But Maryland has Baltimore and Annapolis, The Chesapeake Bay, The Orioles, The Ravens, The Wire, John Waters, Barry Levinson, John Hopkins, The Naval Academy, N.S.A., Michael Phelps… Maryland is the birthplace of the freaking Star Spangled Banner!!

(no offense to the Central states)

  100. Arkansas, Connecticut, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin. I blame it on my 211. Should of got w. virginia though, I go to the golden horseshoe at least twice a year

  101. Iowa, Missouri

  102. I probably could’ve done it if I actually knew how to SPELL all 50 states!

  103. I started alphabetically and then geographically. I got them all, even though it took me forever to remember Massachusetts is a state–it was the last one I listed even though I went through the rest of New England in a flash. Haha.

  104. Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee

  105. stumped by Idaho, Iowa, Missouri, New Jersey. not bad for an aussie (however, i do have family in NJ so FOR SHAME!)

  106. Slow typing on a laptop took me 3:30 but they were in alphabetical order except for CO/CT where I got ahead of myself in the song lyrics.

I’m curious now, did anyone else learn the stupid lyrics set to the “Turkey in the Straw” tune instead of the obviously popular 50 Nifty? The intro begins with “When I was young I studied US geography.” The joy of this version was that after singing it at a normal tempo, you then got to repeat it in double-time. It’s indelibly seared into my gray matter, but it serves a more useful purpose than the one about the chemical elements.

    Now there’s our next quiz!

  107. Frickin’ Montana.

  108. Rachel- I, too, learned the Turkey in the Straw song – but as an adult, so it only stayed in my brain long enough for me to perform it. The 50 Nifty song I learned as a kid, so it’s still with me.

  109. 100%! but it took a while while I remembered and worked through each spelling of massachusetts!!!

Not bad for a new zealander who has only been to the USA a few times!

  110. Got them all, in alphabetical order with 1:12 to spare! Pretty good for an Aussie who’s never even been to USA! (I learnt them last year while procrastinating before University exams!)

  111. Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky.

I thought of them, but couldn’t type fast enough. Except Alabama. Alabama didn’t occur to me.

  112. I missed Arkansas, Minnesota, Nevada, Utah. :(

  113. Maryland, New Hampshire, Wisconsin

  114. Got ‘em all. Alphabetically.
    Time: 01:44 left

    0 Remain

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming

    Well Done!

  115. Got ‘em all with 45 seconds to spare. Don’t ask about the capitals though.

  116. There’s already a state capital quiz: ww w.mentalfloss.com/quiz/quiz.php?q=268

  117. Missed 3: Connecticut, New Jersey, Mississippi… started on the west, moved east, then moved from Florida northwest and Maine southwest. Worked OK, I guess. I just need to learn the song!

  118. Conneticut and Maryland.

  119. New Jersey?

  120. Iowa. But who cares, am I right?

  121. I’m so glad I’m not the only person who missed New Jersey.

    Sorry, New Jersey.

  122. 49/50 — I’m sorry, Kansas.

  123. Just couldn’t resist!

    Fifty nifty United States from thirteen original colonies;
Fifty nifty stars in the flag that billows so beautif’ly in the breeze.
Each individual state contributes a quality that is great.
Each individual state deserves a bow, we salute them now.

Fifty nifty United States from thirteen original colonies,
Shout ‘em, scout ‘em, Tell all about ‘em,
One by one till we’ve given a day to ev’ry state in the U.S.A.

    Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut;
    Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana;
    Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan;
    Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada;
New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina,
    North Dakota, Ohio;
    Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas;
Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming!

North, south, east, west, in our calm, objective opinion,
(name of home state) is the best of the
Fifty nifty United States from thirteen original colonies,
Shout ‘em, scout ‘em, Tell all about ‘em,
One by one till we’ve given a day to ev’ry state in the good old U. S.

  124. Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Utah, Wyoming

  125. Nevada, Oklahoma, and Kansas!

  126. missed Mississippi, Missouri and Vermont…

  127. ps- I learned the Fifty Nifty song in the early 80’s… but I’ve never been able to sing it perfectly, so the M’s get messy and then later, along about Pennsylvania or so… interesting how many people know this one! We taught it to my mom who was educated in a parochial school that completely out of the mainstream…

  128. Connecticut, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Jersey

  129. I missed Massachusetts.

  130. Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Wisconsin ARRRGH!

  131. Iowa, Missouri, Wyoming. My apologies to residents of those states.

  132. Learning the song “Fifty Nifty United States” in 4th grade helps.

  133. got all with 3:42 left… but only because my music class in elementary school taught us the states song in alphabetical order. HOWEVER, we did not learn state capitals or at least not well. My fiance learned state capitals, so he trumps me there, even though I can trump him with naming states alphabetically.

  134. Arkansas, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming

  135. freakin’ maryland!

  136. Missed Colorado, Wyoming, and Connecticut. And I *lived* in Connecticut. Must have thought it and forgot to type it. Thought sure I had all six New England states… And I don’t know the song…

  137. I thought I put Minnesota but didn’t. Also totally forgot Wyoming. I had a hard time spelling Massachusetts as well.

  138. Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, Utah, Wisconsin, Wyoming

I was going NE – SW.. but forgot to type in Mississippi and apparently forgot a row or two in the middle.

    I coulda been a contender… I coulda been somebody.

  139. maryland and new jersey

  140. Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin. Sigh, I was singing a song I learned when I was 10 and everything.

  141. I couldn’t spell Connecticut or Tennessee and totally couldn’t remember Washington.

  142. Connecticut and Wyoming!

  143. All but Utah, skipped over it.

  144. Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Wyoming

  145. Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wyoming.

I don’t know how I forgot Colorado, but the rest are forgettable states. Just not too popular I guess!!

Also, I don’t know how but I spelled Massachusetts right in one try.

  146. i missed washington… errrr duh

  147. couldn’t spell Massachussetts and missed New Jersey and Minnesota

  148. iowa and new jersey!! gah!

  149. Apparently I can’t spell Massachusetts, and completely missed Minnesota.

  150. got 49 in 2 minutes mostly by starting with alaska and moving geographically from the northwest. Took me an extra 40 seconds to figure out that I’d forgotten hawaii.

  151. Michigan!

  152. Delaware, Maryland, Montana, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Wyoming

  153. utah, new jersey

  154. Colorado, New Jersey, Wisconsin

  155. Yeah!! I got all of them, with 55 seconds left!! What helped was that in 7th grade choir we sang a song that listed all of the states, and I remembered most of them from there (but had to remember a few on my own).

  156. Sorry Jennifer, but Missouri DOES take offense! We DO have major sports teams (the Chiefs, the Rams, the Cardinals..baseball that is…) and landmarks like the ARCH! Anywho…I got all fifty with 55 seconds left, thanks to the song!

  157. Michigan, Montana, and Nebraska. It was hard for me to remember these 3 just to comment them here :X sorry :(

Funny to read these: I go to school in Massachusetts, am from New Hampshire, and my roommate’s from Iowa, so I didn’t have to worry about messing those ones up :P

  158. AHH!!! Missouri and Wisconsin!

  159. Stinkin’ Nevada!

  160. Got them all with 15 seconds to spare. and i’m a CANADIAN. OH CANADA OUR HOME AND NATIVE LAND. I’m so proud of America for voting in Obama as president. He is OUR hope.

  161. Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, Vermont

  162. I’m only a kid thats 11 and I can say all 50 states in 15 secondS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  163. I only missed Massachusetts… I thought of it earlier, as I was doing it geographically… but the spelling tripped me up, so I was going to come back to it… I finished with about 20 seconds left and 1 state, but couldn’t think of what I missed until time ran out and I saw it came back up and realized I never got back to it.

  164. Rhode Island and Utah. DAMN!

  165. Indiana, Montana, and Ohio…now who would rememeber those?

  166. Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Wyoming

  167. Delaware and Nebraska.

    Last time I took a 50 State quiz I got 49/50. Today: 48/50. I’m slipping.

  168. Idaho and Nebraska! :-P

  169. Minnesota and Montana

  170. Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Utah, Vermont

  171. Got all but one with 2 minutes to spare.. Stupid Maine. :(

  172. WISCONSIN!!!!!!

  173. Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Wisconsin

  174. Alabama, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Utah………..

    dammit.

  175. Got all 50 with :01 second left.

(I got stuck on how to spell Massachusetts and had to look it up.) The trick is to picture them geographically, much easier to remember than that song

    captcha = Nation Hymn

  176. maryland doesn’t really count, does it?

  177. Oklahoma and Wyoming. Dang.

  178. Pictured them geographically but forgot Nevada somehow. The song gets fuzzy for me at the N states. Off I go to google the state song.

Someone from Canada recently sang for me a song about the provinces, way shorter than the 50 states song.

  179. I was focusing so much on the mainland states that I totally missed Alaska and Hawaii! I can’t believe it. =( But I’m thoroughly impressed with the fact that I got all the other 48 states!

  180. Got them all baby!

  181. Freaking Louisiana.

  182. Wisconsin … sorry Badgers

  183. The Dakotas. They ought to be one state anyway, right?

  184. IOWA!

  185. Hawaii and Alaska (odd)
    Louisiana (which I visited recently…)
ps I gave up a minute early

  186. NEBRASKA!! rawr.

  187. Indiana eluded me!

  188. minnesota! ugh

  189. only missed New Hampshire… not bad for a Canadian!

  190. UTAH!

  191. got em all in 30 sec dang song still in my head

  192. Damn West Virginia and their less-cool Charleston!

  193. in new york

i started going from west to east, typed in wyoming just in case, and ended up going randomly

took me a while at the end for oklahoma :D

  194. Alabama, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, Nevada, Tennessee, Utah!

Iowa? Really? I live in South Dakota about 5 minutes from Iowa. Dang it!

    Haha, funny captcha: po cornrows

  195. I didn’t miss any of them, but I spent as much time figuring out Minnesota and Wyoming as I did filling in the other 48.

  196. I missed Indiana and Tennessee. I can forgive myself for forgetting Indiana, but TENNESSEE?! I’m an Arkansan! I live by Tennessee! And my dad was born there! ARGH! But I almost missed Texas, so I guess it could’ve been considerably worse.

  197. Arizona, Delaware, Oklahoma

  198. Indiana, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Wyoming

  199. Oklahoma!

  200. I missed Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Virginia, West Virginia. Not bad for a Dutchman, I suppose.

  201. Arizona, Delaware, Iowa

  202. Dag. Indiana & Vermont.

  203. Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Utah, Wisconsin

    XDDD.
I didn’t know how to spell Connecticut, and I thought I put in Delaware!

  204. I missed Missouri and New Jersey. Funny, because my mother’s whole family lives in New Jersey.

  205. Missed 5: Arizona, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin

  206. Illinois, Kansas, Missouri

  207. I missed New Jersey

  208. Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, Utah, Wyoming

  209. oh my gosh, when did new hampshire become a state…

  210. New York, I forget that there is a whole crappy state up there. NYC is really just an extension of Connecticut and New Jersey.

  211. Alaska, Hawaii, New Hampshire..I still had 49 seconds.

  212. New Hampshire, Hawaii, Alaska..still had 49 seconds

  213. Massachusetts!

  214. Maryland, Minnesota, Oklahoma

  215. Ended up here because I had just played this game myself (with no time limit), took FOREVER to come up with the fiftieth (Nebraska), and was curious to see what the least remembered state is. Has anyone gathered that statistic? I’d bet decent money that it’s either Nebraska, Maryland, or Delaware, but I’m from Canada so maybe my recall is weirdly skewed.

  216. New Jersey and Wisconsin. How could I forget the Real Housewives’ state?!

  217. wyoming + colorado

  218. Connecticut & Nebraska.
Connecticut is where my dad grew up, how could i forget that?

  219. Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and I can’t even remember the 4th…oh Alabama!

  220. Arkansas, Connecticut, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island

  221. maryland, missouri
