I love that the background noise of the adorable cat video is the “Survivorman” episode of the Office.

Okay, I admit I didn’t watch the 7-year old anesthesia patient, but the first time I remember being knocked out for surgery, I was in Kindergarten. It was very frightening and I cried and cried. My mom says she felt so bad because I was so afraid I wouldn’t wake up again, but it was surgery that needed to be done.
Of course, it wasn’t that bad. I did start waking up during the surgery and the surgeon had to coax me back to sleep. Then when I woke up, I threw up, a lot (gross, sorry!). But I did get to stay home from school that day, eat pizza, and watch cartoons all afternoon. That was fun!
