Thanks forĀ giving today’s Brain Game a shot. It’sĀ great to see you again!

A few years ago, the American Film Institute published a list of the top 100 film quotes of all-time. I perused the list with a Brain Game puzzle in mind, and the #52 entry on the list became my fodder. This is a quote from the list with all its vowels removed and the remaining letters squashed together (but still in their original order). Can you identify the quote and the 1996 hit film in which it appeared?

Here is the ANSWER.

  1. “You had me at hello.” from Jerry Maguire

  2. i am proud i actually got this one everything’s coming up adele today

  3. not much of a challenge for me (took me about 5 seconds), but I like the idea. More movie quote quzzles would be great.

  4. That was a fun one. I second the motion to see this type of puzzle again.

  5. I got that surprisingly quick…

    More please!

  6. Easier than I though, but a lot of fun. More please!

  7. Here is an anagram of a famous movie quote;

    YOUTH NUT CHANTER HALTED

  8. Even as a non-movie buff I picked this one up suprisingly quick. I vote for more math games, I like to have something to chew on through the day assuming I can resist peaking at the answer.

  9. How about Tarzan’s famous yell, after removing the vowels:

  10. Fun one, Sandy! And a note for Bryan: your post made me crack up. Very funny!

  11. @GBurns:

Jack Nicholson will forever be remembered as telling Tom Cruise:

    “You can’t handle the truth!”

    in A Few Good Men.

This type of brain game is fun!

I echo others who said more please!

  12. Wow! I actually got that one pretty quickly…and now I feel smart! More please!

  13. “He had me with jello.” Ray Liotta in “Hannibal.”
    No, sorry. That was 2001.

  14. THAT made the top 100 – almost the top 50 – and “Why is there a watermelon there?” didn’t make the list? A travesty.
