Each year, U.S. News & World Report ranks the top colleges and universities in the United States. How many of the top 20 national universities from their ‘Best Colleges 2009′ issue can you name in five minutes? (Whether you buy into their methodology is another subject for another five-minute block.)
Take the Quiz: Name the Top 20 National Universities
Missed Rice, Emory, Vandy, Chicago and Penn. I imagine a lot of people will not think of Washington, us being way out in the great green north.

I got all but 5 (rice, vandy, chicago, washington, and emory). The rest were pretty easy (especially the ivy leaguers). I was a little surprised to see Georgetown, Carnegie Mellon, and Cal Berkeley not make the top 20 (close but no cigar).

Forgot the one in Baltimore. Had the rest.
FYI the “Washington” on the list is likely the one in St. Louis.

All I got was Ivy Leagues + MIT + Stanford.
Meh.
(Whadayamean Oral Roberts isn’t in the top 20?)

I’m feeling pretty proud of my score of 12, considering my lack of knowledge of the Ivy League.
