Last June, we tested your knowledge of Greek Mythology. Today let’s give Roman Mythology a whirl.

It has been said that the Greeks mythologized their history, and that the Romans historicized their myths. The Romans adopted the Greek myths and modified them to suit their own purposes (to the point of deifying their early leaders). How much do you know about the modifications the Romans made to the mythological foundation laid by the Greeks?

  1. let’s try some Norse mythology too!

  2. pwned 1/10….wow, I know so little about Roman Mythology. If I am to be on Jeopardy, I am going to have to brush up on my mythology (as well as opera, history, and literature).

  3. 4/10. And I will admit that I got the one about Romulus and Remus because of Harry Potter (or at least made a smart guess because of Harry Potter).

  4. 8/10 – the Horace question and the poetry question threw me off.

  5. 6/10 These questions were pretty difficult!

  6. 5 for 10.

  7. ah that was a good quiz. 80%, not bad. I seem to know more Roman myths than Greek.

and yes I do agree with Laura, Norse myths next please!
