Sergio Leone’s 1966 spaghetti Western The Good, The Bad and The Ugly ruthlessly depicts the brutality of the West as it tells the story of three self-interested gunfighters searching for $200,000 in buried gold. How well do you know the film?

Excellent quiz!
Another good question would have been what band uses the climactic song “The Ecstasy of Gold” as their entrance music at many shows?

Some memorable lines…
There are two kinds of people in the world, my friend: Those with a rope around the neck, and the people who have the job of doing the cutting.
When you have to shoot, shoot, don’t talk.
There are two types of spurs:
Those that come in through the door, and those that some through the window.
How’s your digestion now?

I got 80%! (The John O’Neill and filming location questions were what sunk me.)
Great acting, great score, great movie!

Sergio wanted to cast Eastwood, Cleef and Wallach as the 3 gunman who meet Bronson in the opening sequence of How the West was Won. I forget why they turned it down, but if memory serves I think it was because Eastwood didn’t want his character to get killed. Think it would have made the opening even better, though that what they did is hard to top.
Oh and Eastwood’s character does have a name. It’s used twice. Once in fistful of dollars and once in G,B & U.
I’ll wait and see if anyone knows it, and post it later.

Okay nobody knows Eastwoods characters name?
Fistful of Dollars the undertaker calls him Joe and my mistake it’s not in GBU but in For a Few Dollars More, the sheriff tells Cleefs character that another bounty hunter named Monco is already on Indio’s trail.
