Yes, I have seen it happen in a high school band room. One of the instruments hit the right frequency and a glass sitting next to it completely shattered into tiny bits. It was super cool!

The shattering in the Memorex commercials was certainly real, but the singer (it was Ella Fitzgerald, I think) was amplified.

What about those Memorex commercials back in the 70s? The singer would break the glass, then the Memorex reocrding of the singer would also break the glass. Their slogan, “Is it live or is it Memorex?” Please don’t tell me those were faked! What’s next, Mr Whipple didn’t really like squeezing the Charmin? Morris the Cat couldn’t really talk? My world is shattered!
