There was a guy at my prom that actually came in a silver duct tape suit. It was really neat.

And I thought my husband using duct tape to keep his work pants together was impressive. These items totally blows that away. Note: do NOT put it in the dryer. Duct tape kinda melts to a sticky, sticky blob. UGH!

My friend Kelli entered this contest three years ago for our senior prom. Her construction wasn’t as bombastic as most of the winners, but I thought she did a wonderful job especially since her date was also a girl so she made TWO dresses.

My husband made a lot of things out of Duck tape in high school. He did Stuck at Prom his senior year with a girl from a neighboring town that was interested in doing it as well. They went as Lewis Meriwether and Pocahontas. When I first heard he went to prom in a Duck tape suit I didn’t believe it. Why would you go to prom wearing a silver Duck tape suit? But, when he showed me the picture I was actually pretty impressed. I didn’t know Duck tape made so many different colors!

I can’t imagine wearing a dress made entirely out of duct tape for prom. You’d be so sticky and sweaty and uncomfortable (not to mention smelly)! I made a few wallets out of duct tape and they made my purse reek of duct glue for months! Plus they start to peel and get VERY sticky. It certainly looks awesome though…

I knew duct tape wasn’t only in silver and black but I had no idea it came in THAT many colors! And what fantastic artistry! Loved this post!
