I remember those college days. Students seem to have it easier these days. Back then laundry service was scarce if not obsolete. Now they seem to have everything.

Well I think students are having things far too easy these days! In my day we got,er..nothing really. There was certainly no laundry service ( except the one at home when we went back during vacations).

Here in Argentina the best Universities are public, and FREE.

The private universities are in a lower level.

I’m from Ohio University and remember hearing about the birthday club, but it just made me jealous anyway because I have a summer birthday and thus don’t get to celebrate with my school friends ever.

My colleges from university were awesome, we had the same domain “flash components” we had the same passions. We were really friends. I miss them.

You sure brought back memories of my college days! Not only did I attend a major university but I was on a football scholarship and looking back on it I was an arrogant prick but I’m blessed that I was spared by a higher power. Great post!

I went to Caltech and in on-campus housing we got maid service every week, too. They would clean the common areas, and in your bedrooms they would vacuum your floor, wash your sink, etc., but they generally left stuff you had sitting around alone. Although I did hear about one guy who had a bunch of weed scattered around his desk; they put it all back in a baggie he had and laid it all out neatly.

The best perk was in my department, Geology. Somebody had set up a fund that paid for a free 10-day trip to the Big Island of Hawaii during the spring break before graduation to study the volcanoes there. Granted, we camped instead of staying at 5-star hotels, but it was pretty nice.
